Installing a travel eSIM takes about a minute on Wi-Fi. Here's the exact flow for iPhone and Android, plus the one setting people forget.
Do this on home Wi-Fi the day you buy, before you fly. You'll need the QR code or activation details from your eSIM email, or, on Simzora, just the one-tap Install button on your order screen.
Settings โ Cellular โ Add eSIM โ Use QR Code (or 'Enter details manually' to paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code). Label it 'Travel', keep your home line as default for calls, and set the eSIM as your Cellular Data line. Then leave it there, never delete it.
Settings โ Connections โ SIM manager โ Add eSIM โ scan the QR (or enter the code). Choose the eSIM for mobile data. On both platforms the last step is the one people forget: turn Data Roaming ON for the eSIM line only. That's normal for travel eSIMs and costs nothing extra; your home SIM stays untouched.
