Using your Switzerland eSIM

In cities like Zurich, Geneva and Bern you get fast 5G and LTE, and the signal stays strong through busy tourist hubs such as Interlaken. Coverage only really softens deep in the Alpine valleys and up on the high passes, where any network thins out.
The main local partner network is the standout here, and it holds up remarkably well in the mountains. You will usually keep a solid LTE or 5G signal along the scenic rail routes, including long stretches of the Glacier Express and Bernina Express, and in most Alpine resort towns. The exceptions are the deepest valleys and the highest passes, where the terrain blocks the signal and speeds drop or cut out for a while.
The eSIM connects on its own when you land, normally while you are still walking to passport control at Zurich or Geneva airport, so you are online before you clear customs.
