The famous Kandy to Ella train is the classic test of any Sri Lankan SIM. Because this is a data-only roaming plan, your traffic may route through a gateway outside Sri Lanka, so the odd banking or streaming site might treat you as browsing from abroad. It rarely affects everyday apps like maps, WhatsApp and email.
