Connectivity in Serbia
Your Simzora eSIM works in Serbia as a roaming line on the established local networks, MTS, A1 and Yettel, and it connects to whichever gives the best signal where you are standing. In Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš you can expect strong, dependable 4G and LTE for maps, voice calls over data and streaming, with 5G in parts of Belgrade and some larger centres where the networks have switched it on. Coverage stays solid along the main motorways and in most towns, but it can thin out or slow down in the mountains around Zlatibor and Kopaonik, in the Đerdap gorge and in remote rural pockets, so treat a strong signal in those areas as a bonus rather than a promise.
Because it is a data-only roaming line, there is no Serbian phone number and no SMS, so it will not receive text codes from your bank or other apps. Keep your normal home SIM active in a second phone for those one-time passwords, and use WhatsApp, iMessage and other data apps for messaging as usual. For the eSIM to connect you must switch Data Roaming on for that line, which is completely normal for a travel eSIM and adds no extra charge.
If your phone shows No Service or will not connect in the first few minutes after you land, turn Airplane Mode on for about ten seconds and then off again, which nudges the handset to search for and register on a local network afresh. Signal can also dip inside thick stone buildings, older stairwells, underground car parks and pedestrian underpasses, so step towards a window or outside if a page stalls. Most plans begin the moment the eSIM first connects to a network in Serbia, so you can install it over Wi-Fi before you travel without starting the clock early.
Because your data is roaming, some of your traffic may leave through a gateway outside Serbia, so a few websites and apps might greet you in another language or treat you as browsing from abroad, and streaming services may show a different regional catalogue. This is normal for roaming and does not mean anything is wrong, though for anything that needs to see a Serbian address you may prefer to wait until you are on trusted Wi-Fi. Coverage is genuinely at its best in and around the cities, so plan for slower or patchier data if your trip takes you deep into the mountains or far into the countryside.

Serbia eSIM FAQs
Which networks will I get in Serbia?+−
Your eSIM roams across Serbia's main mobile networks, MTS, A1 and Yettel, and connects automatically to whichever is strongest where you are. You do not choose one by hand, and your phone can move between them as you travel so you stay on the best available signal.
Do I get a Serbia phone number or SMS?+−
No, this is a data-only eSIM, so there is no Serbian number and it cannot send or receive SMS. Keep your usual home SIM in another phone for bank codes and login texts, and use WhatsApp, iMessage or similar apps over data to stay in touch.
How much data do I get and when does the plan start?+−
The amount of data depends on the plan you buy, and you can check the remaining balance in your account at any time. Most plans start counting from the moment the eSIM first connects to a network in Serbia, not when you install it, so you can safely set it up on Wi-Fi before you leave home.
Will it work at the ski resorts and up in the mountains?+−
In Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and along the main roads you will get strong, dependable data, but high mountain resorts like Kopaonik and Zlatibor, the Đerdap gorge and remote villages can be slower or have gaps. Download your maps, tickets and directions before you head into those areas so you are not relying on a live connection.
