eSIM for India
- Works on eSIM-capable phones
- Local partner networks, auto-connect
- Starts when you land
- Hotspot & easy top-ups
Your data roams on local partner networks in India, connecting automatically to the strongest available signal. If one network has no service, it can switch to another.
Coverage is solid 4G/LTE across the major cities and along the main routes between them. In remote and mountain areas, signal is more limited on every network.
More GB, lower per-GB price: the 20 GB plan works out at $2.30 per GB.

Using your India eSIM
Your eSIM connects as an international roaming line on the two networks with the broadest reach across India. Expect fast, reliable LTE in the big metros and tourist hubs, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, along with Goa's beach belt and Rajasthan's tourist cities like Jaipur and Udaipur. Coverage softens on rural stretches, in interior villages and up in the mountains, where the signal can thin out or drop to a slower connection.
The main local partner network has the widest 4G footprint of any Indian network, so most travellers spend their trip on it: strong in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa and across Rajasthan's main tourist circuit. The gaps are where you would expect them, Himalayan regions like Ladakh and parts of Himachal Pradesh, plus remote rural interiors, are patchier and can leave you with weak signal or none for a stretch. If you are heading somewhere that remote, plan for offline maps and downloads before you set off.
The eSIM connects at the airport, usually while you are still walking to immigration, so you have data before you clear customs. One honesty note: your data may exit through a non-Indian internet gateway, so some apps and websites can treat you as browsing from abroad, and a banking app might ask one extra verification question. This is normal for a roaming eSIM and everything keeps working.
- Install and set up the eSIM on Wi-Fi before you fly; the plan only starts counting when it first connects to a network in India.
- Set the eSIM as your mobile-data line and turn on Data Roaming for that line only, leaving your home SIM untouched for calls and codes.
- If you see 'No Service' after landing in Delhi or Mumbai, toggle Airplane Mode once and the phone will re-select the partner network.
